CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN

 

Description

 

Primary Function: 
Lead a team of construction personnel, coordinating construction scheduling and communication. Acts as a liaison to the Project Manager/Superintendent concerning bids, subcontracting, progress and delays. Authorized to take action and advise afterwards. 


Reporting to: 
Field Superintendent 

 

Responsibilities: 
• Maintain complete confidentiality of information pertaining to the company 
• Schedule all work to complete tasks/projects within the hours scheduled 
• Maintain a clean area. Dispose of all material in the proper manner 
• Meet goals by directing and leading the work of others, be able to follow instructions from        

   superintendents and be able to read blue prints. 
• Maintain a good rapport with the customer by resolving conflicts in a timely manner. 
• Build productive working relationships with all field and office personnel. 
• Maintain a clean area. Dispose of all material in the proper manner 
• Use expert knowledge to assist employees in solving problems. 
• Train field personnel as required. 
• Make recommendations to resolve issues when identified and follow up to ensure resolution. 
• Personal cell phone usage is only allowed at break and lunch time. 

 

Minimum Skills Requirement: 
• Minimum of 4 years construction experience 
• Expert Knowledge of the industry to properly use equipment, tools and instruments 
• Expert in the following areas: 
       - Concrete construction, walls, floors, curbs, and/or sidewalks 
       - Finishing 
       - Form Setting 
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs 
• Proven capability of handling a heavy work load 
• Proven leadership ability 
• Have the ability to climb ladders and maneuver effectively on construction sites. 
• Must have valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for insurability 

   Environment 
• Field environment 100% 
• Working hours between 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM 

       - May require overtime and significant schedule changes to meet commitments 

       - May be required to work in other work areas when asked.

 
 
 
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR / TRUCK DRIVER

 

Description: 

Primary Function 

Operate equipment, such as an 18-wheel tractor-trailer, tandem axel dump trucks, fork truck, and other similar equipment for the purpose of construction and demolition. 


Reporting to: 
Superintendent / Foreman

 
Responsibilities 
• Maintain complete confidentiality of information pertaining to the company 
• Complete tasks/projects within the hours scheduled 
• Meet goals by completing assigned activities. 
       - Efficiency 
       - On time delivery 
       - Safety 
• Keeps technical and industry knowledge up to date. 
• Maintain a good rapport with the customer by resolving conflicts in a timely manner. 
• Build productive working relationships with all field and office personnel. 
• Maintain a clean area. Dispose of all material in the proper manner 

 

Minimum Skills Requirement:
• Knowledge of the industry to properly use equipment, tools and instruments 
• Proficient in the use of the following equipment: 
       - Fork Truck 
       - Light construction equipment, Bobcat, tractor with implements, loaders 
       - Dump truck – tandem axel 
       - Tractor Trailer Truck: 18 wheels 
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs 
• Proven capability of handling a heavy work load 
• Have the ability to climb ladders and maneuver effectively on construction sites. 
• Must have valid CDL driver’s license and a clean driving record for insurability 

   Environment 
• Field environment 100% 
• Working hours between 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM Monday through Friday 
       - May require overtime and significant schedule changes to meet commitments 
       - May be required to work in other work duties when asked.

 
 
CONCRETE FORM SETTER / FINISHER

 

 

Description

 

Primary Function :
Build and set forms, and finish surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks or curbs.

 

Reporting to: 
Foreman or Superintendent. 


Responsibilities:
• Maintain complete confidentiality of information pertaining to the company 
• Complete tasks/projects within the hours scheduled 
• Maintain a clean area. Dispose of all material in the proper manner 
• Maintain a good relationship with the customer by resolving conflicts in a timely manner. 
• Build productive working relationships with all field and office personnel. 
• Assist in training field personnel as required. 
• Personal cell phone usage is only allowed at break or lunch time. 

 

Minimum Skills Requirement 
• Knowledge of the construction industry to properly use equipment, tools and instruments, with a

   minimum of 3 years construction experience and at least 1 year in the following areas: 
       - Concrete construction, walls, floors, curbs, and/or sidewalks 
       - Finishing 
       - Form Setting 
       - Wooden Structures: Framing, window/door installation and other wood work 
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs 
• Proven capability of handling a heavy work load 
• Have the ability to climb ladders and maneuver effectively on construction sites. 
• Must have valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for insurability 

   Environment 
• Field environment 100% 
• Working hours between 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM 
       - May require overtime and significant schedule changes to meet commitments 
       - May be required to work in other work areas when asked
